The American Forest Foundation (AFF) works on-the-ground with families, teachers and elected officials to promote stewardship and protect the values provided by our nation’s forest heritage. A commitment to the next generation unites our nationwide network of forest owners and teachers. These devoted professionals work to keep our forests healthy and our children well-prepared for the future they will inherit.

NAFO is an organization of private forest owners committed to advancing national policies that promote the economic and environmental benefits of privately-owned forests. NAFO membership encompasses more than 80 million acres of private forestland in 47 states. Working forests in the U.S. support 2.4 million jobs.
NAFO advances the economic and environmental benefits of privately-owned forests through targeted policy advocacy at the national level.
In 2007, 14 private forest owners began discussing the specific and growing advocacy needs of the forest owner community at the federal level. By late 2007, they formed the structure and leadership of NAFO and incorporated in March 2008.

The National Woodland Owners Association (NWOA) understands, assists, and joins together people who are stewards of wooded lands and care deeply about the future of forests, forestry and land use. Headquartered in Washington DC with 42 affiliated state landowner associations, we are the largest family woodland owner association in America, representing 11 million family woodland owners who own and manage half of all forested landscapes in America.
